Is there a danger of “over-editing” a mcinsarupt? I’ve never written a novel (I think the idea scares me stoopid – all that planning and writing and brain cell destruction), but even for short pieces, the editing process seems a little daunting, trying to objectively improve your own work. I think even with time and space to breathe, it must be hard to see where and how to improve a mcinsarupt. When I have written my first draft novel, I’ll let you know how the editing goes. The “bird’s eye view” technique is a good concept. yashraj
James really teaches well. He explains very well. Now I need to use lot more adjectives….lol Its pleasant experience to unlearn bad English and make language more comfortable, so that others understand better what we speak.

JPLCARVALHO

YouCefCR
James, I got 100.
When you talked about words that end in “ly”
but they’re not adverbs,I remembered a sentence,
not very bright, that I made up when I was 15.
Don’t laugh, but here it goes:
” She’s lovely, lively and friendly,butI think
she’s a bit lonely and silly.”
And ” The governament should look after the
elderly properly.”
Well, so far, I have never forgotten that these
end in “ly” however they are adjectives not
adverbs;
I like to memorize the things I learn using my
own stuff.
Does the sentence look silly for you?
I hope it helps other students.
Sonia1234
Bright is an adj. not an adv. …Why in the sentence ‘a bright red coat’ bright is considered as an adv. ?
Ervis-S
Here, bright is modifying the adjective red. The coat isn’t bright; the shade of red is.
engVid Moderator
I have another question….Isn’t there difference between ‘a brigh red coat’ and ‘ a brightly red coat’ ?
James sometimes speaks very quickly but he is a very good teacher. (Y)

5. Correct or incorrect?
I go always to the store on Friday.
correct
(ans) incorrect
IT IS CORRECT, don’t it?? for example

I can say that I ga always(adverb)
I know that it is uncommon to say, however there is no grammatical mistake, aren’t it??????

Thanks very much, Mr. Jon I got 100%.
Sorry you are James not Jon
Keep up the good work!
what is the adverb “very” modifying in this sentence?
“Very” is adj, teacher. i think “it” should be change to “slowly”. i think someone typed wrong word when accessing databases.
OH, sorry! i have already looked up for it and found it out. In that instance, it’s abverb and modifying slowly. I thought the abverb was “slowly” before. Sorry for that!
I Love your QUIZ very much it is very useful
JAMES YOU ARE REALLY AMONG THE BEST TEACHERS I EVER MET. THANKS
Thanks James!
8/10 I actually did better than I thought. But I still need to practice more. Great lesson.
Perfect, Thx u so much
2 averbs together it is possible? “so” and “badly” together it’s seem strange for me grammmaticaly!! and for you what do you think?
is “so” an adverb?
James really teaches well. He explains very well. Now I need to use lot more adjectives….lol Its pleasant experience to unlearn bad English and make language more comfortable, so that others understand better what we speak.
Thanks Mr James for youe efforts. But would you please speak slowly
thanks James for this lesson. Now I now a little bit more about adverbs because of you.
I get 9/10 without watching the video :D
James, I got 100.
When you talked about words that end in “ly”
but they’re not adverbs,I remembered a sentence,
not very bright, that I made up when I was 15.
Don’t laugh, but here it goes:
” She’s lovely, lively and friendly,butI think
she’s a bit lonely and silly.”
And ” The governament should look after the
elderly properly.”
Well, so far, I have never forgotten that these
end in “ly” however they are adjectives not
adverbs;
I like to memorize the things I learn using my
own stuff.
Does the sentence look silly for you?
I hope it helps other students.
Bright is an adj. not an adv. …Why in the sentence ‘a bright red coat’ bright is considered as an adv. ?
Here, bright is modifying the adjective red. The coat isn’t bright; the shade of red is.
I have another question….Isn’t there difference between ‘a brigh red coat’ and ‘ a brightly red coat’ ?
Excellent job teacher James.
About using “bright” as an adverb:

James sometimes speaks very quickly but he is a very good teacher. (Y)
