Hi james. Thanks for your lesson. I just have a question on “come back” & tenses.
On (or in???) the quiz we can read “When I come back here, this place had better be clean.”
1/ Can we write “When I’ll come back…”. If YES, which is the difference?
2/ In the second part of the sentence why do you use the past form of have???
Thx in advance for your answer
Hellow sir,Thank you for your effort.I got one mistake in this test.
Hallo! Maybe I can help you? Sentence 1 – when we speak about future, we don’t use “will” after “when” or “if”. Sentence 2 – “had better do it” is a set expression which means “you should do it or else, e.g., I will punish you”. Am I right, teacher?
Thanks a lot for your answer Enigma

When Sly leaves Canada, he will go back to his country. Tłumaczenie- Kiedy Sly opuści/wyjedzie z Kandady, wróci do swego kraju.
wrócić do swego kraju- to go back to one’s country
to go back to one’s country when you leave a country that is not your native country. wracać do swego kraju kiedy opuszczasz jakiś kraj, który nie jest Twoją ojczyzną

I don’t think that other teachers can explain this common mistakes in spoken English better than what you did. I’d like to watch another of your lessons even if I had to do some homework about it, it would be fair. Excellent, very helpful , thank you very much
I got 10! The lesson was very useful.Thank you!
dear Jamse
thank you for all of teaching us.
unfortunetly i am confused about ” come back and go back”.
for example : i am iranian but i live in malaysia, if i want to inform my mother that i am going to go to iran , i should say ” mammy i come back home last week .” or ” mammy i go back home last week ” wich one is correct?
if you are talking to your mom in Iran you have to say i came back.but if you are sitting in Malasia and talking to your mom on skype you have to say i will back,or i am going to back in summer or in specific time.
Dear James,
Can I have you as a privet teacher ?
I am getting my language improved.
thanx
The lesson isn’t important to teach students.important is that how do you explain this lesson. So Mr James selected a right way to explain and attract an attention of students.well done.
Dear James,
Where can i use have & had /had & had in the same sentence?Example please.

yes it’s singular because you’re ordering just one beer not a lot of beers.

James you are a great teacher!!! I love your way of explanation and I really enjoy watching your lessons!
James you explain very specifically. I see your lessons everyday. And you are funny too
A very good explanation, I have solved old doubts about these ambiguity words, especially “make/do” and “come back/go back” which are always confused if you don’t have a clear idea of its meanings. Also “fun/funny” generates some doubts sometimes. Thanks a lot, teacher James, it has been a great and useful lesson.
Thanks a lot, dear teacher.
You have awesome way of teaching. Keep going
as always great
thank you Mr James.
Mr. James, what about get back, instead of come back or go back?
There is a song in the Beatles Album Let it Be named Get Back (where you once belonged). Paul wanted that John would come back to Beatles and Yoko Ono go back to its original place (maybe Japan).
Thanks!
You got 4 correct out of 5.
thanks a lot.
Thanks a lot James.
