English pronunciation is easier once you master the ‘er’ and ‘th’ sounds. In this lesson, I give you some easy ways to pronounce words with those sounds in them.
That sounds are really hard to say, But it’s really necessary to
practice it.
Have you either some text or history with this sounds?
Only to practice, like the history you said at your lesson…
Thanks…
Marcos
yes ”the” story or tongue twist in text would be great!
sherlocu
It is my belief that the best way to master pronunciation is through practice. Choral repetion is a useful tool to do; speaking to yourself works wonders as well.
According to my books, the “Th” sound is a complex one. You hit the nail on the head James when you drew the point of articulation of this sound on the board. Showing how to produce the sound, was the best part.
However, what you forgot to mention is that there are two variants of this same sound: In the phrases “This book” vs “Thank you”, the initial sound is different; although at first glance you may say that it is the same.
Thanks a million James. Your great sense of humor makes your lessons memorable. Oh gosh, I love them!

Hi Mahvish,
The videos are streamed by YouTube, so they should get bufferred like all of their videos. If your connection is slow, it still might stop during the lesson. To avoid this, press play once, and then pause the video when the lesson starts, and let it download fully before you press play again.
Thanks for watching!
