Hi! You’ve got a mistake in the quiz!
“How is the new Radiohead album?” Speculate with 90% certainty in the present.
It could be good.

It might be good.
It may be good.

hi MR.alex i have scored 9 out of 10 >> i have question about “What’s the temperature like today?” Speculate with 50% certainty in the present.
It must be at least 15 degrees.
It may be at least 15 degrees.
It could have been at least 15 degrees.
It has got to be at least 15 degrees.
why it is
It may be at least 15 degrees?
and thank you for lesson
nazei
IT = TEMPERATURE
REY
As there is asked to speculate with 50% certainly, so option “a” and option “d” never be correct and the right answer is option “b”. Option “c” is not be correct. (Could have + past participle means that something was possible in the past, or you had the ability to do something in the past, but that you didn’t do it.)

ALEX WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN “EXPRESS SPECULATION” AND “EXPRESS POSSIBILITIES” , I AM ASKING THIS QUESTION BECAUSE SOME TEACHERS (JAMES)TAUGHT ABOUT MODALS OF POSIBILITIES http://youtu.be/8zmNJaTDZ6Y AND HE USE THE MODALS WILL, CAN, COULD, MIGHT. MY QUESTION IS : EXPRESS SPECULATION ABOUT SOMETHING HAPPEN IS THE SAME TO EXPRESS POSSIBILITY THAT SOMETHING HAPPEN? , I THINK YES BECAUSE YOU EXPRESS SOMETHING WHICH IS “POSSIBLE” TO HAPPEN , OR THEY (SPECULATION AND POSSIBLILITY) ARE DIFFERENTS AS MODALS ?

Dear Professor Alex,
The negative forms are not explained in your lesson; the more you have made some mess about forms must vs must not; must vs have not to.
must means command or obligsation;
must not is a prohibition in other words negative command;
when expressing obigatiion using must – the negative form is have not to do sth
That is why your first negative form – must not – is not clear for me.The meaning of it.
Best regards,
MKJMKJ

Dear Alex,
Thank you for your valuable lesson.
I have one question regarding a difference of a degree of certainty between should and other verbs you explained this lesson. According to your previous lesson referring to “should and must”, you mentioned that should is also used to talk about certainty. So, I am wondering how degree of certainty “should” have, compared with other verbs such as must, have to, or might.
Thank you.

Hi Alex, the lesson about speculation is very helpful. Thanks a lot!

Dear Professor Alex,
The negative forms are not explained in your lesson; the more you have made some mess about forms must vs must not; must vs have not to.
must means command or obligsation;
must not is a prohibition in other words negative command;
when expressing obigatiion using must – the negative form is have not to do sth
That is why your first negative form – must not – is not clear for me.The meaning of it.
Best regards,
sir..what’s the difference between (may.might.could)
thank you Alex …you explaining very simple and perfect i appreciate for your unique training i can to find from your face that you must be very kindness too….but in this lesson i did not understand that you mention less certain 50% …so must be under 50% or at least 50%..?
Amazing!Thank you Alex.
Thank you Alex!
Thank you Alex.

Hi Alex
It is really nice lesson and easy to understand at the same time easy get a 100 correct but so difficult to used it and remember it during my conversation with some body but I have to try any way
Thanks a lot
Dear Alex,
Thank you for your valuable lesson.
Thank you.
thank you Alex, I did not understand the third question.
Hello Alex!
I like your lessons so much!

that means we have to always use the form :to be or be as example I can not see :now he has to cook but now he has to be cooking ?. i noticed the whole examples were with be
thanks a lot.
I expect the differences among the expressions I must, I have to, I have got to. otherwise it is the same and we needn´t worry about them ?
Thank you . Maxa
