Hi Nqwe, you are a very sharp student. I have the same question and I think “storm out” is correct.

    Radoslav

Thanks Helanr, you are a keen student too. I think its an spelling error because I haven’t found out the word storm off in dictionary

      nqwe

    stormed out is true ..
she stormed out of the room..

    amir from Iran

It has a same meaning as storm out:
      To leave angrily
As soon as he started breaking up with her, she stormed off and never spoke to him again.

Hi Emma,
Thank you so much for the lesson.
My question is the following.
In your lesson at around 6:18 you say:
<>
“my friend” is singular and you use “they”.
What is the reason?
Kind regards

jpfromparis

Oups, I used symbols that have made a mess in my previous message. Between the symbols you must read the following:
I’m telling my friend about it and they say: “Well, it’s great you have a new job, but…”

Is Emma a case of Aspergen’s syndrom? Or is she an example of egotistical behaviour? Why is so impotant ( I have avoided “very” :) ) that Emma think about herself? All the people here are in love with a robot.
It’s pathetic.

aroibas

Don’t bother you. You’d better erase it.

    aroibas

You’re right. You’ve caught us. Emma is actually a highly advanced robot created to help teach English. This is the prototype, but Toshiba hopes to make “Emma” available commercially by early 2016.

Hi,Emma!these are helpful expresiones, make a video about why people read very well in English but they don’t understand after finishing reading or while reading so they go back on the reading and re-read it line by line until they understand the whole text .Is it because they make any translation ahead in their mother tongue ?

Hi Emma,
after I had watched the video I took the quiz where I got 10/10. I’m on cloud nine. It was strikingly useful lesson for me. Before I watched this lesson I had known only few of them such as “I’m under the weather”, “Calm before the storm” This is pretty common in my country that is Poland.
All the best for everyone in Englsh.
