About prepositions, they aren’t easy to learn, but I often ask my ESL students to translate them in their own language. Once they know the meaning they can use them again in English.
JakobN
Hi James.Thanhs for this lesson. Can I you a question?Me too or I am too.which sentences are true?and second question Do we use wonna, hafta, gonna etc words when we are writing? Is it grammatical correct?I sorry for wrong words.

Hi, you’re a very good teacher, but there is a problem. All teachers must speak in a normal speed. It doesn’t matter you teach English speakers or non-English speakers. It doesn’t matter you teach math or English or anything else. If you speak fast, your students can’t get your lessons well, if you speak slowly, your students are going to be bored. So you should speak in a normal speed.
Anahita
Thanks teacher

Hi James. I have a question. Would you explain different between “help” vs “help out”, “start” vs “start out”, “end” vs “end up” ect. If you make a lesson about it it will be excellent.
kishtuki
Cool, thank you so much.

Hi, James!
Thank you for the lesson. Once in the lesson you’ve said “on the second floor”. I wonder if it is one or two floors under you? I mean generally how they say – the ground floor or the first floor? Thank you so much.

James – your lessons are the bee’s knees!
I’ve made a tremendous progress in English by looking engVid clips. I really like your teaching methods and your abilities to explain things. Your understandable explanations are profound and sometimes witty. I’ve been studying English for twelve month and look continually for new ways to improve my English.
I wouls never have believed that I would ever be able to speak English.
Keep it up!

just for smart ones like you James ;) :
Suppose I (amiir hossein from Iran,Asia ;) )wanna walk through a 20-meter corridor . I pace the first step .Then, if each of my subsequent steps is half of the previous one , how long will it take for me to pass the corridor ? (You may use any unit for the answer James .)
amir from Iran
You can’t fool me! That’s one of Zeno’s Paradoxes. I would take a page from Aristotle’s book and point out that half a pace only takes half as long to walk. So you can finish infinite steps by moving at infinite speeds :P
Here is a related joke: A crowd of mathematicians walks into a bar. The bartender says, “What are you having?” The first mathematician says, “I’ll have a pint of beer.” The second mathematician says, “I’ll have half a pint of beer.” The third says, “I’ll have an eighth of a pint.” The fourth says, “I’ll have…” The bartender sighs and pours two beers.
engVid Moderator
:D
Hmmmm..Moderator, I`m not sure whether you`re James or not ,but alas ,your mathematics isn`t just like your English ;) (me , vice versa ;) ) cause it`s impossible to reach to the end of corridor .
This refers to Limitation in Math dude ;) Anyway, were you just making fun of British when you were pronouncing “Theatre” as “Theatah ” .If so , that was a good one ;) Furthermore , YOU should perform the video of “Slang in English- What the hell and other HELL expressions ” instead of Emma ! It`s just an opinion. I downloded more that 400 of engvid video . Take a good care of yourself ;)Remember , Amir hossein , Iran , Asia ;) Thanks, Iran , Amir
amir from Iran
H! James you are so good, but I still having a hard time with that preposition :( sometimes they are so confusing …yup..I knew how to use in ,on n at when it comes to time n place…but some preposition is giving me headache..
