Is it all right to use alright when you are writing? When is it alright? And what do those words mean exactly, anyway? Watch the lesson, and you’ll never be confused about this again!
it means:
to have an exciting time. enjoy oneself greatly.
“We had a ball at the party and didn’t come home until 2 AM”

Hi, I have just completed the test, I have scored 8 out of 10 after viewing the teaching video. I just curious why the quiz number 3 and number 4, same quiz . “I don’t know if I got alright the questions on this quiz.” the answer for both ‘alright’ and ‘all right’ also incorrect? If so, what is the correct way to say?
evonneteh
I think you have to say “I don’t know if I got all the questions right on the quiz.” You cannot say “… if I got all right the questions on the quiz.” It sounds a little awkward.

Thank you James. I think it’s a little difficult to learn but I will try! And you are very funny! I enjoyed!

James, I’ve heard this a lot, but I really don’t undestand the meaning. Sentences like:
a) I arrived before you. You weren’t here when
arrived.
b) I was here alright!!
Does this mean yes, is it bad English, a slang
I just would like to know what this alright means.
Sonia1234
I’t the first time I had only 7 out of 10, it’s because of listeting to the video, not watching. So my advice for everyone is always to watch that Jame’s nice drawing of snakes! ;-))
Liubov-means-love
I feel bad about my score since I got 6 to 10..
Sivakumar
Dear James, I still have the same doubt:
Alright at the end of a sentece.
Eg. ” I was here before you, alright.”
” He came, alright? He arrived late but he
came.”
So, this “alright” in the end of a sentence
mean “yes”?
I see it in interviews, dialogues and movies
with the subtitle in Englis.(Of course, dah.)
I never seem to get the correct idea.
Would you be so kind as to help me, James?
Sonia1234
James, would you be so kind as explaining to me
what this “alright” in the END of a sentence means?
Is it bad English, does it mean “yes”…I’d like
to know, because people say that, a lot.
Sonia1234
Thanks James. :)

Hi
Could someone explain(or give me a full answer) a right answer for the questions 2 and 3?
“I don’t know if I got all right the questions on this quiz”
“I don’t know if I got alright the questions on this quiz.”
Maybe I incorrectly understand(translate) them.
catfelix
A little difficult to understand because the two expressions sound equal but mean different things. Very good explanation and performance. Thanks a lot, teacher James, a very interesting class as always.

You got 9 correct out of 10.
“I don’t know if I got all right the questions on this quiz.”
