Hi! well, they are really similar, especially in a fast conversation. You have to pay attention to the context. All along means “from de beginning, throughout” while all alone means “completely alone”. Ex; I knew the answer all along. / She did the work all alone.

Sentence 1 is fine except I would say:I don’t have any idea at all about this subject.

Sentence 2 is fine and usually means that you will pay, unless the person suggests otherwise before accepting your invitation.

Sentence 2 is an excellent way to invite someone for dinner.

Hi Rebecca. Sometimes we can use “at all” in the middle of sentece, immediately after the negative word. For exemplo: She was not at all frightned. Is there some rule for these cases? Thank you
