of
& off
in English. Make sure you’re pronouncing each of these common words correctly and naturally. Because they’re so common, native English speakers often reduce the sounds of these words a lot – so much that it can be hard to even hear when they’re being used in sentence. But when you know what to listen for, it’s a lot easier. In this lesson, I’ll compare the sound of the words and the different usages each of the words has. You’ll be able to practice with me, and then I’ll give you some extra terms such as off of
, out of
, and offed
. Get your thumb out of your mouth and start learning now.

Hi! engVid. I am Japanese. Recently, there has been a huge increase in the demand for British English in Japan. especially RP.However, there is very little information in Japanese and learners seem to be struggling. And the automatic Japanese translation system found on Youtube is also terrible. So we would like to post some excellent videos of engVid, with both English and Japanese subtitles and cut-outs, for Japanese learners of British English. youtube seems to give fair permission to use third-party content for educational purposes, but I could not find any information about engVid’s copyright. Is it permitted to quote from engVid videos and edit and post videos aimed at Japanese learners?
Hi, biscuiteigo. I will find out and get back to you!
