Words and expressions about cooking can open up a world before you. Learning about the measurements, tools, and methods of cooking will expand your English vocabulary. And you’ll learn how to make yummy blueberry pancakes, too! I explain the following words in this class: flour, salt, milk, eggs, oil, sugar, blueberries, maple syrup, grams, cups, millilitre, tablespoon, teaspoon, whisk, blender, mix, pinch, flip, pour, batter.
Thanks Jon, really good lesson, some new words like “flip” or “whisk”. At last I know what’s mean “tbsp” !!! :) I really like your way of teaching, thank you :)

Hi Jon, question – does word “flip” synonym for adj. “insolent”, “daring”? Or its just next google translator’s misunderstanding?
Thank you
galyna
For me I do not see the connection. I think that your English is good enough that you do not need to translate. I always tell my students that – if they can – to use an English to English dictionary. THat way you’ll be thinking more in English and not your native language. Thanks for watching!
Jon
thank a lot…..

Have a ? for you. You said ‘spatula can be made FROM plastic’. I’ve been taught that we should say ‘made of smth’ and it’s a common Russian students’ mistake to say ‘made from’ because it sounds exactly the same in Russian. Is it colloquial? Thanks again)
