Great lesson it’s useful and simple
Thanks, habib! That was my goal.
…well, well, well . . . I’ve been using all these expressions for some time now, but to tell the truth I did not there was a difference in meaning when using GET (get in touch).
Thanks for sharing all this us Alex.
Bye for now, Stay in touch!

Ok
Thank you very much, Alex.
I like your lessons, they so clear and very easy to understend them, i’m looking forward to your next lesson :)
You won’t have to wait long this time. It will be up on December 18th.
Sir, which one is correct among ( or between maybe) the following sentences,
1.” She has more books than I do VS She has more books than I have”.
2. “The one place I love going is Switzerland VS The one place I love going to is Switzerland”.
If you’re in the UK, both are correct for number one. In Canada and the US, most people would say “She has more books than I do,” but it’s not a big deal if you say “have” at all.
Both are also used for number 2, but the second one is the one I would use because you go TO a place, you don’t just “go a place.”
Thanks for helping me out. I am very confused about which one to use. Because,in India officially British English is used but nowadays people are using American English so much in their conversation.
Honestly, these aren’t really big mistakes, so I wouldn’t worry about them too much. :)
Fair enough. Thanks again.
me too, kobi
Thanks, emo. I have a much longer themed lesson coming out in one week.
I’ll keep in touch with you on Facebook. Thank you, Alex :)
No problem! Thanks for your support.
i thing we should use “i will get in touch with you on Facebook” because he is talking about future
i think we should use “i will get in touch with you on Facebook” because he is talking about future
Hi, Alex! As always, your lessons are very useful and interesting. I’m learning a lot with them. Thank you very much! Júlio César from Brazil. Oh! I forgot to tell you: I got 100!
*high five* Nice job! See you in 7 days for a truly epic lesson!
Just one mistake. I got 90. Thanks Alex.
Beautiful! Keep it up!
Your lessons are amazing, Alex. I think it’s not because they are simple but because they are so clearly explained. All your lessons are fantastic, because you make the process of lerning much easier. Thanky for your dedication to teach us.
I truly enjoy it, so not a problem at all!
Nice test!
Thanks a lot!
Thnks teacher^^

Thanks a lot, Sushri. I plan to do this for a very long time.
thank you
You’re welcome. I hope life is good in Venezuela!
Thank your for your interesting lesson!
No problem! If I may correct your grammar…
“Thank you for your interesting lesson.”
2. I’ve ____ in touch with him recently.
been
I chose “keep”. but the correct answer “been” ..why ?
Hi, in my opinion, you should say: I have been in touch with him because if you choose “Keep”, it must be “kept”.
The correct answer is “been” because it’s the present perfect tense. You must use “have + past participle,” and “been” is a past participle. “Keep” is just the present form.
thanks
2. I’ve ____ in touch with him recently.
I chose “keep”. but the correct answer “been” ..why ?
because been is the past particular of be. In this case is the present perfect tense so you must choose been.
Hi Anardinho,
I’ve = I have indicates that the sentence is in the present perfect. So, the following verb must be in the past participle and “been’ is the only one which is in this tense.
Exactly.
thanks
Hello Alex . It is nice to have your lessons. I found english expresions like that funny when translated litteraly in my language . It is why it is important to know them by heart .
There is another more funny expression to talk about getting in touch , but when speaking on the phone , that is “to put some one through ” . Really odd action when translated in French .
If you are more , maybe it can be added to a next lesson . Just to keep in Touch.
Thank you , bye
Hi tsamp,
We use to “put someone through” when we want to connect someone to the person they want to speak to on the phone.
If you do not manage to speak to the person, you’ll say “I couldn’t get through to him/her/you/Peter. The line was engaged/busy.”
Both of the phrasal verbs above have a few other meanings (unrelated to the phone).
Perfect explanation. Thanks for helping out!
I’m keeping in touch with engVid ????.
Hi, in my opinion, your sentence is correct.
You can say: I keep in touch with Engvid, it sounds more nature.
“It sounds more natural.” :)
yes you are
If you want to make a promise, you can also say:
I’ll keep myself posted on engvid videos.
I’ll stay tuned for/to the next engvid video.
I suppose the preposition “to” is preferred mainly in British English.
Hi Mr Alex, I love your lessons very much. I wish you always happy and keep in touch with the students on Engvid. Thanks so much.
I plan to do this for a very long time.
Great lesson :)
Thanks a lot! Wait until you see what I have planned for December 18th!
Thanks Alex, this lesson is actually quite funny.
Thanks Alex. Your lessons are really fun. I love them.
Haha. Really? What makes it funny?
Simply, I think that the way you talk isn’t dull. When I used the adjective “funny”, actually I meant “pleasant” and “brilliant”.
I passed the quiz with colors and flowers.
I think the expression you’re looking for is “I passed the quiz with flying colours.”
It was a kind of lesson that I definitely need it!
Thank you Alex.
“This is the kind of lesson I need!”
You’re very welcome. As always, thanks for clicking.
Thanks Alex, i`ll keep in touch with you.
Be in touch
For sure! I’ll make sure to keep releasing at least 2 videos every month.
Hi Alex thank for this great lesson , I got a question about these words : Rush , reach ,and arrive , would you mind to make lesson about it , to make difference between when to use it and how
Thank you in advance
Looking forward
“Rush” means to hurry. “I rushed to the store.”
“Reach” means to get to the place you want to go. “We reached the gas station in time.”
“Arrive” means…to arrive. :) “We arrived late.” You CAN’T say “We reached late.” Reach needs an object/place after it, while “arrive” doesn’t need an object/place.
Also, “reach” can be used in this context:
“I couldn’t reach him.” (I couldn’t contact him. I tried calling, emailing, etc. but got no response)
Thanks my teacher Alex
No problem! Thanks for watching!
Thanks a lot Alex for useful lesson and explanation.I will be in touch with Engvid forever :)

Hi Teachers,
Sometimes I read some emails, people will reply “Noted” or “Noted with thanks” “Mail noted with Thanks”, that means they understood or they got it, I’d like to know if it is a proper English in email? Please advise. Thanks
For sure. It just means “I will make a note of that” or “I’ve read the email and made a mental note of your information.”
Alex hello thank you for giving me the videos in chronological order to learn as a beginner
They’re not exactly in chronological order, but I do have some beginner lessons you can follow. :)

Hi ALEX Thanks very much for you English lesson so really very useful lesson and interesting lesson so I got 9 out of 10.I got keep in touch in my English skills.
hi! Great videos.. i didn’t know that!!!
Thank you Alex. I got 7 correct out of 10 . I ‘m comfused to use get , keep, stay in touch I don’t know what situation how to use its. I should learn more.
Get in touch is a lot more active. You’re thinking about the action of contacting the person when you say “get in touch with me later.” You CAN’T say “stay in touch with me later” if your intention is to say “call me later.”
Thank you Alex you are kind of me.
Thank you very much for your English lesson

You’re very welcome. Thanks for clicking.
Hello Teacher,
What is the difference between speed and rapidity?
thanks
“Speed” can be used in more contexts and is much more informal. It is very common to say “The car’s speed was 150 kilometers per hour” and not use “rapidity” in this situation. However, you can use both in many situations as well.
good job .i like it
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed it.

This video is very useful for me to catch the expressions in enghlish. Besides your accent is so warm and clearly. I will try my best. Thanks for your sharing.
100/100 a very useful lesson, thanks Alex
Very useful lesson again. I stay in touch with engvid.com. Many Thanks!
