BATHROOM
and a WASHROOM
? Today’s English lesson is all about RESTROOM vocabulary! It has many names, and I bet you visit this place many times every day. Lets make sure you can talk about it properly. Avoid making embarrassing mistakes by learning some very common words. When you’re done, wash your hands and take the quiz! EngVid: Don’t take a dump without it.

I didn’t know how to say plunger .thank u Ronny.by the way u forgot to mention, snake and the the liquid used to drain the bath
I do not think she forgot to mention something, Cupil27.
What happens is that the focus of the lesson was -I think- on the essentials of bathroom vocabulary.
That is why Ronnie did not mention many things.
Regards
In today´s lesson I learned new words and expressions thanks to your illustrative examples Ronnie.
Your good sense of humour and teaching style make your lessons very interesting.
Looking forward to the upcoming lesson.
By for now Ronnie!!!
believe the snake is very important.
i didn’t get it…what is the snake? :o
There are so many other words instead of bathroom, what are the most common words for it ?

‘lick the toilet’ i couldn’t stop laughing :D
10/10 great lesson, I like Ronnie, she is never afraid of teaching about naughty topics which are necessary for real life, and almost every teacher I have had avoids these subjects. Thank you so much!
I agree with you
9/9 Hi, Ronnie what you mean with wash your hands? When I go to the bathroom I always washed my hands. Since I was a juvenile my mother always told me to do that. 9/9 Ronnie, 9/9
Caro Jorge, muitos nao lavam as maos, é por isso.
Você as lava 100% das vezes que vai a casa de banho ou banheiro?
Hi, (:
i know some really rediculous ones,
but i won’t tell, because it’s disrespectufull to the particular friend/partner, who did it or ( it ) happaned to, even though names wouldn’t be told. A bathroom/washroom is private, even in the public. You don’t speak in it, you don’t look at each other in it, you don’t talk in it. You keep it respectfull, because you and the others are exposed in it. Sure there is an exception, but only one, but this is something private too… : ]
Culture changes from one country to another. There is no any problem for us, the occidentals, ask someone about these common places for everyone. I agree with you that is so private to comment what I intend doing there. But asking where is the bathroom is so normal for us from American Continent.
Thanks Ronnie.It is really useful.
Igot 9 out of 9.
Engvid is getting better and better. Nice lesson, Ronnie, you rock!
67 :0
Wow 100%
You got 9 correct out of 9.

Thanx :)
It’s a cool lesson thank you.
But you didn’t talk about the brush which is important to clean :)
Thanks for your lessons!
Nasty situation in the bathroom has happen last week when I opened the cover of lavatory I saw a massive dump.<<<>>>
This was at my company after a few moment they stuck a paper out of this WC on the door and wrote…..<> .
The one who made that forgot to flush the toilet and caused to clogged it.
Thank you Ronnie for this lesson.
Ronnie your drawing is funny and I thought I did know all about toilet, restroom, bathroom… but I learned so much.

I didn’t know “plunger,” and that I can use “shower” as a verb. Maybe I have said “I’m going to take a shower.” Thank you for your interesting lesson, Ronnie :)
Hello, since you’re also Asian, I ask you a question: Could you tell different between the word think and sink? Do you Jp people pronounce it like same mostly time?
Hi :) mmm…”Think” is to have idea, and (I imaged) “sink” is a surface for water like in the kitchen. Do you understand what I explain? I don’t have confidence
:( Yes I also think Jp people pronounce “think” like “sink” haha interesting! sounds like tongue twister. Thank you for your interesting question, BianLei :)
Yeah… So seems that is a common problem. Cause I have seen so many Asian students they pronounce “think” as “sink”… Haha, included me. Thanks for your answer. Good explanation but I was asking in a wrong way.. I was trying to ask about the difference of those pronounces.. XD
Thanks , its very useful for my everyday life, i’ve learned a lot
Thax Ronnie for this lesson.
Thanks Ronnie…. It was funny, interesting and had important rules
i got 100%
thank you very much, really you are a good teacher

I couldn’t stop laughing…especially when you talked about doorknob and restroom. This is hilarious! Anyway, thanks.
Thank you.
I remind my mother:D because whenever i go to the bath room sometimes i need to wash my hair and when she seems me doing that in the sink she shouts and say do not ever do that because you’re going to clog the sink because of the hair which drop don’t inside it :D thanks ronnie it was useful lesson.
Can i you do me a favor ronnie?
please i just have been suffering because of the passive voice it’s not easy and confusing sometimes would you make a video to explain it and how to use it correctly of course we should study lots of tense at first and i have studied too many tense but need to start using passive voice thanks. if there’s likelihood to do that please try to beak it do and illustrate it differently.
That was so intresting
Thaks Ronie. What are you ask of end the most lessons, Tudos??? What is mean?
I usually listen to music when I am in the bathroom (^.^)… who do the same as me ?
I just have seen this video and signed up and here I am posting my thanks.
Thank you….
I love your teaching ronnie.
Ronnie, You’re the funniest and smartest teacher, I’ve ever seen :*
Ronnie, I’ve just seen your first video, I just can say that wow, you’re so amazing. I wish i had you as a teacher.
Ronnie i like your teaching style.
Hi Ronnie, always funny and without complex which is great. However, you’ve again taken the risk to unleash criticisms not to say insults spat out by some goody two-shoes or prigs from certain countries. Keep on staying yourself for the pleasure of the majority.
If someone insults Ronnie. This person is silly ( I’m polite! ) We need all the volcabulary.
After all every one must urinate and defecate.
I encourage our dear teacher to go on.
Please Ronnie never censor yourself.
I had 10. You forgot to say you powder your nose. In my cas I spend a penny.
you didn’t talk about these words:
john, loo , bog.
Somes expressions : drop a log, take a shit a crap, a dump, to pass water !
Thank you very much for your lessons
Ronnie,you are fantastic congratulation.
Thanks a lot. It was so useful :)
thank you my lovely teacher I like all your lessons go a head I love you really
thank you! ur awesome!
Thank you for the lesson!!! 100%
Hello,
excuse me, where I can ask a question on this website ?
Right here! What did you want to know?
I’ve got a issue with understanding the difference between “it”, “that” and “this”, especially when we can say “this is cool” but when we have to use “that’s cool” even if some action is going in the present time. I’m sorry, my question don’t bind with the lesson.
I’m sorry, I didn’t find the right topic
Thank you! it is my first lesson and i have answered all the questions correctly!
Hi Ronnie! Sorry, but I didn’t understand well. I use the word BATHROOM when I’ll take shower at stand up. I use WASHROOM when I’ll for bathbush. When I’ll do 1 or 2 I’ll say TOILET. Is sentences is right? Thanks.
Ignore toilet as a place where you can seen in the mirror, whatever. Toilet (the throne) is where you sit on to take massive dump, if you ate meals a lot last night.
In Brazil toilet has a different meaning.
thanks.
Nice lesson as usual :) … I once learned that we use “bathroom” whenever we are at home and “restroom” whenever we are in public places, such as restaurants, hotels, airports etc. However, I had never thought through this perspective of analysing the word by splitting it “rest + room”…and you’re absolutely right, the last thing I want to do in a public place is resting, LOL. Thanks again!!!
Thank you ronnie, I really like your videos
Thank you so much my teacher Ronnie!
you are such a sense of humor teacher
could you list some more vocabularies in the bathroom?
Great presentation Mrs.Ronnie!
Interesting and useful lesson! Thank you~
the “magic land”. It was funny
It’s very interesting lesson. Now I know the words and some of the culture of your country.
I got 9/9. Thanks Rounie. In the toilet I like to read newspapers and magazines. Please more funny stories.
Sorry right is Ronnie.
it was fantastic…ronnie can u do a video about giving an receiving direction…thank’s
thank you RONNIE. Welcome to vietnam
Thank you Ronnie!! You’re the best teacher in the world!!!
thank you ronnie……you showed us how to defecate.
thonl you Ronnie
Cheers! 100%
Ronnie, once again I laughed very loud a with your explanation! Massive dump is really incredible. Unfortunately I have found many toilets filled by massive dumps in my life. It seems like someone had exploded sat on.
I have a story about public bathroom. About 20 years ago, when I used to drink beer and go to beer festival like in Germany, where drinking beer at festivals is normal.
After some huge glasses of beer, I was semi-drunk when I went to the washroom for pissing. Suddenly I heard a man, who was worst (drunk) than me, quarreling his penis why “it was forcing” him to be there, when he would like being close to the girl who he had just met few minutes ago.
The “dialogue” was funny and impressive like a playing on the stage, really an unforgettable and brilliant performance of an actor.
Everybody who was “rolling on the ground” laughing a lot watching that playing.
Thanks once again.
Thanks for sharing!
I got 10. From now on I can take massive dump in public toilets. :( So disgusting!
Thanks for useful expression:) toodles!
Thank you very much. ❤️❤️❤️
I GOT 100%!!!!!
Yes, Ronnie we all have to wash our hands with soap after using the bathroom. I watched the news the other day they said 1 out of 3 people has poop germs on their hands. (≧∇≦) unbelievable!!
tnx our teacher for this lesson , all ur lesson very clear :)
thank you very much.
when i came to Canada on the first day, I faced with the problem of finding a washroom. and the question I want to ask is just”where is the toilet”. hehe.
Here I want to know if I can say”where can I wash my hands?”
I think everyone could understand if you ask like that, because the way you ask is very direct.
Your lessos has been very useful to me Ronnie!
You ask for funny comments about bathrooms, right?! So, once I made a mistake when I confused the doors and I got in a female bathroom. It was very embarassing situation…
Okay. That was my funny story. See you!
you are simply outstanding!
You help me so much. Thanks!
Could you help me Ronnie? I wan’t to know a phrase used in English that describes: each person has the particular life style, character, ect. Thanks for your help.
100% result :)

Thank you v. Much …
There is one other interesting expression: “to run a bath” It means to fill the bathtub with water .
Thaks, Ronnie, some words aren’t usual, like a plunger, so we can forget how pronunciate it. It was my first class and I enjoyed too much.
Very good lesson
hi,ronnie u know what? It is the worse thing to take massive dumps in your friend’s house.I once did it because I couldn’t hold out anymore and yet that day was my friend’s birthday.Everybody in the living room and me trying to unclog the toilet. It was so embarrased and I lost face for it.No plunger,no paper XD.I had to use my hand with all the shit in the toilet and after 25 minutes I could fix the dogged toilet.I’ll never forget that day XD.Then I told my friends I fell asleep while popping,of course I was lying.
this really a funny lesson
I got 9/9, thx Ronnie
thanks Ronnie, it was fun and i got all of them correct :) although, the idea of ‘licking the toilet’ had me eating a chocolate, so as to avoid imagining the taste of it.
I see. Thank you!

Thank you Ronnie! You are the best teacher!
I was surprised – it was very easy to understand your voice for me. But i can’t understood – what the word “toodles” means? it was the end your lesson…It means bye-bye?
it’s so confusing but i do not give up my struggle .
whats the confusing?
Once i was enjoying my holiday in a cheap hotel with toilets in the corridor. Sitting on the toilet and working hard suddenly the door opened and there was the owner of the hotel, he looked above me switched the lights on and off. Then he said ‘that’s not the one’ and shut the door and left.

Dear Ronnie,
Why is it that in Walmart or in other stores, it mostly says restroom? I wonder why… we don’t rest in bathrooms or washrooms, right? (well, except the bathtub or the shower). It’s really weird…
Letting the poop remain in the toeilet is one of the worst thing in the world. One day, I wanted to use the public restroom, but the previus person did not flush, so I felt so bad after that event and decided to never ever use any restrooms.
So do you shit in your pants now or what?
hahahahaha :D
I do not know English, but I learned a little bit today and this is the first lesson to me

we only have stinking latrine after we’ve moved to house from flat :-D
Hi, Miss Ronnie. I rather use eastern toilets:
1. you don’t have to touch the sink with your skin, I know we can use toilet seat cover papers but still …….( I just realized that skin and sink have the same letters, maybe they meant to get touched! )
2. you can easily wash the dirty area and dry it
3. I have heard the way you bend your knees and sit there is better than western version for taking a massive dump:D
ronnie did you ride dump
is bad word

Hi Once a couple of years ago i was having a bath, then my mobile rang- i left it in the kitche, so i jummped out of the bath and slipped , passed out bec I hit my head on the floor- that’is all me:)

Hi, teacher Ronnie! Thanks a lot, again! I’ve scored 10 on 10! It’s all possible because of you. Now I can inform my friends about this and should recommend ’em to speak “May I go to the washroom, please?” instead o’ “May I go to washroom?

A very good lesson, I drop a roll of toilet paper into the toilet. so then it clogged when I flushed the toilet the poo came out of it afterwards I had to use the plunger to unclogged it. it was a pretty bad experience. but Every cloud has a silver lining. please don`t make fun of me.
I found what i was finding. Excellent

It really gets to me when I go to the washrooms in a public place and there are plenty of toilets available and people come and sit in the one next to me, I just cant stand it.
After over 20 years studying English this is the first time I find lessons about expressions inside the restrooms, thank you.

9/9! Great! When I learn English at the beginning, I only know the word toilet. But when I use this word, will make it confusing. People always said washroom or restroom.
Thanks
