Thanks for the nice lesson! I already knew the common meaning of this expression, but I didn’t know how many different situations we could use it.
“To break one’s heart” is a strong expression, so that there are many lyrics with it. Other expressions quite common in songs are “whatever”, “whenever” and “forever”.
