Hi Alex, where do you work?Do you like day, swing shift or grave yard.
I work in Montreal at a language school. I always work days.
Is question #1 a present continuos tense or future tense?
It could be either. If you work Monday-Friday and you’re saying it on the Sunday before, it’s future. If you’re saying it on Wednesday, it’s present continuous.
you work in Montreal, so you can speak french also?
great lesson, thanks
Nice new vocabularies … Thanks Alex
I got 9/10. Vocabulary about work is very useful for me. Thank you for your lesson Alex. ^^

Thanks for the comment. I just realised that you moved to Canada when you were very young. I moved to Australia around nine years ago. I hope I can teach English like you do one day.

Hi Alex sir, i hope you are fine, i want to know when we say “Origin”, and than another word pronounce like ‘Origin’, which is “Engine” my question is, when we say ‘origin’ and ‘engine’ so these both words in last make sounds like gan, and gan, so i want to know if they sound, similar so why “E” is exceptional with “Engine” .
Please make a class and make me sure about these words you must be know more words and examples of it so please if you make a class on it. Thank you.
i got 10 correct out of 10….so exciting

Hi Alex like a set schedule where you work. “where you work” what does this mean?
Thanks in advance
Have a nice day
I’m sorry, but I don’t understand the question. “Where you work” just means the place you work at.
Thank you for the best lesson.Sometimes,I confused about how to ask someone about their job.Today, you teach me how,I’m happy and excited for a new lesson from you.

I like the video u teach. Thanks my teacher
Thank you Alex, the video is very informative, I would like you to answer my question that is not related to this video, it has to do with articles. I saw one sentence in english, here is: “We could find Mars pretty cold, an average temperate would be around minus 63”. So why is there used the article AN before the word avarege, not The
J’ai traduit “I’ve been working my ass off in my new job” par “j’en ai plein le cul de mon nouveau boulot”. Ce n’est évidemment pas très poli mais cela traduit bien le ressenti.
Merci Alex.
Thanks, Alex.

Hi Alex! Great lesson! One doubt: in question 1, the correct structure is not “I’m working on days this week”?
Hi, Valderi!
There is an explanation for your doubt at the beginning of the comments. Look it up, please.

I got 9 out 10 , but thanks Alex I like that lesson
Hi, Alex, It’s really cool to improve my english with you…Thank you.
I got 9 out 10. I think it is good but I am a little confused about what you mean with ‘I work days’… Is that means you work every day or means that you work just in sunlight time of the day? Thanks a lot in advance. You are really a great teacher!
Hi jhon,
I’m working days that means you work just in daylight for exmple from 8:00 am to 4:00 PM. it doesn’t matter if you work every day or not.
:)
And more – “I work days” – we should use, when we are working in shifts (this week I work days, the next week i will work nights). If I work 9-to-5 (every single week in a year), i’d say excactly this phrase :)
I got 9/10 thanks Sir . Alex I really appreciate what you all have done here
This video lesson it’s very useful for me.

Hi Sir, the engvid website contains some sexual ads like”get a girl friend”with some offensive pics. most of the kids use engvid, so it has a very bad impact on them. kindly stop such ads if possible.

Hi Alex!!! I’m Christian and I’m Italian. Thank you so much for all your videos. I’ve just begun to see them and I can say which are very useful.
thank you very much)) you gave us very important expressions..
Thanks Alex for this lesson!
It’s always useful to learn talking about work.
What about flexible shifts (work periods), home office, work by task assignment, and other ways of work?
Thanks,Alex!I work 1 day(24h) followed by 4 days of rest.Is there any special expression for such a schedule?
I got 10 on 10.
The most tricky part I found in this lesson is how the sentence “I am on days” stay in the present tense i.e. “I am on days next week” and not in future tense even when we are talking about the future.
That is probably because the employee timings are already scheduled and are quite unlikely to change so we can say that with surety, right?
Anyway, point duly noted.
Thanks for a wonderful lesson.
that’s very inersting
thanks Alex. I got 100% of “vocabulary talking about work”. Thanks very much!!!!!
And if no work – no money, no food.
Greetings from John Steinbeck.
