Thank you for this excellent lesson, Jade!
Yeh, english transcription can be extremely confusing. Fortunately nowadays we can hear the correct pronunciation in online dictionaries and shadow it.

Schwa is a sound that is heard after each consonant if it is pronounced independently (schwa follows each independently pronounced consonant). In Bosnian and Slavic languages, this sound is heard when the speaker speaks in a clipped manner and when, for example, he is angry and speaks quickly and in there is a lot of implied threat in such speech. When you hear Putin using a lot of schwa or semi-schwa, you know he’s angry or threatening. Slavic languages do not use schwa under normal conditions.
Thanks you Jade for this lesson, IS there any rule to convert a word in its phonetic équivalent ?
Dear Ms Jade, I learnt by myself with a good textbook the former IPA when I was a schoolboy.
Some of the outlook of the phoenems chanced meanwhile. None of my teachers in Germany taught the IPA at all. Now my grandchildren have a grandpa who will use your marvellous lesson. I don’t know how to thank you enough!
