Improve your English with COMICS & GRAPHIC NOVELS

Thanks for your interesting lesson Emma. I agree with you. Comics are great for learning English and also fun. I use to read old Uncle Scrooge and Donald Duck comics from Carl Barks to my kids in English as bed time stories. They love them and learning a lot of vocabulary in an easy way.
I’d like to watch other lessons about comics and graphic novels and, if it is possible, why not, about Ducks world. Thanks

Thanks Emma. I looked at you twice with great interest because I thought of my grandchildren who should have good English. I mostly thought of two of them.
One is a boy of fourteen who is not a good student and who only likes French comics.
The other is a 17 year old girl who is a serious student and likes to read novels when she has time.
Could you advise me a few titles for each of them?
In any case, you offered me some useful and interesting gift ideas.

My favourite comic book is Monica’s Gang or Monica and Friends (Portuguese: Turma da Mônica). It is a Brazilian comic book series created by Mauricio de Sousa.
