Want to watch hockey and be able to talk about the sport with Canadians and Americans? In much of North America, hockey is very popular, and talking about it is a good way for you to engage in casual English conversation with your colleagues. Watch this lesson to learn about some of the basic rules and words used in hockey, like puck, goalie, penalty, powerplay, and overtime. See how some of these words are used in other, everyday situations as well.
Hello Adam! InshaAllah I will teach English to high school students this year. Can you give me a good piece of advice?
And I send my respect to you !

Hi Roroy,
Well, there’s a lot to consider, but probably the most important tip is to always be prepared. Do your homework before you try to give them theirs. If they ask a question and you don’t know the answer, don’t pretend; say you don’t know, then go find out and tell them the answer the next time you see them.
Ultimately, teachers are also students.
Other than that, you’ll learn as you go. Just relax and have fun :)
Good luck.
