It is important to know what is going on in the world, but reading an English newspaper can be scary for learners. Watch this video to learn important vocabulary that you will find in newspapers, on news websites, and on TV. In this lesson, I’m focusing on words that have to do with the negative side of politics and power. These are words that you’ll come across all the time, but it seems like they are being used currently even more than usual. So watch this video and learn the words and phrases. Once you do, go read some news stories. It’s a great feeling to be able to understand something that you wouldn’t have been able to just a short time ago, so I really hope you’ll watch, learn, and then put it to use by reading, listening, and watching!
What an incredible lesson with a lot of new words for me!!
Thanks a lot Benjamin ;)

We miss you.
Well, in Italy we have very good food, but sometimes i liked go to London for a weekend to eat a delicious dish of fish and chips…
Some time ago I’have seen your video about spaghetti bolognese and i think that in the same way it would be better you fly to bologna to eat those ;-)
Opps forgetting…great lesson as usual.

9/10!
I didn’t expect to get that score while I’m taking the quiz because there are plenty of vocabulary which looks similar to each other. However,I eventually memorized and going to use them in reading as you suggested. Thanks Teacher Benjamin. One great thing to mention about your unique attraction in Engvid is because of your clear and truely British accent that I love to speak the same in the future. When it comes to speaking English, I would love to use British accent and enjoy listening North American accents in entertainment.

I lost it when you started impersonating Donald Trump :) As a rule of thumb, I do not trust the politicians. They are the same people like us, so they have flaws, and when you are presented with an opportunity to cheat you’ll always do it. Sad but true, generally people are greedy and think only about themselves. In Poland especially nepotism is very common. Anyway, great lesson. Thanks :D

When you look at politicians, no matter what country you are in, I guess there is no such thing as an honest politician
