Top o’ the morning
to ya! In this lesson, I’m going to teach you common Irish vocabulary and expressions. This includes words for the family, insults, drinking expressions, and more. The Irish words in this lesson are part of the Irish English dialect. Many of them are not part of standard English. I am NOT Irish. I am English. This video is for people learning English, to give them an introduction to the Irish English accent and dialect. Please forgive me for my attempt at the Irish accent!

Jade You are very talented. You should consider to make shows for kids :)
I like your sense of humour. Slainte! ?
I spent 1 year in Ireland studying English in an
excellent Language School, and I must say that Irish
accent is beautiful but very, not to say “extremely”
difficult to understand. That’s what I felt after studying there for 1 year. I definitely couldn’t
get the hang of it. I was like “Jesus,Mary and Joseph” all the time.
It’s kind of musical, though. But very difficult
to get.
Ireland is a beautiful country, its people are
very friendly, but speaking the way they do,
takes years of practice. I haven’t given up,so far.
I never will, I think. This lesson brought me
lots of good memories and I’d like to thank you,
Miss Jade. This was/is an excellent lesson.
Best regards.
