Frankly speaking James, I doubt I can become an English vocabulary champion by just watching this video class.

Too much theory and not enough illustrative examples that could help me see mind maps at work.

Interesting topic -no doubt about it- but what we need is at least one concrete example to see if it really works.

I used mind maps for learning English. I drew main branches: listening, speaking, reading, grammar. Smaller branches showed names of particular activity that helps to train the skill. Like this, Listening: tv-series, podcasts, radio, audio books etc.
I generalize but it is better to write down the titles then you won’t have to choose or hesitate. I also had a time limit whithin I was free to do any activity that I liked most at the moment. And I supposed to train every skill but ended up nothing but watching tv-series, improved listening greatly though))
But as for mind maps, they really helped me to organize learning process

I wish I had found your website earlier. I have 16 days left until my very important test (TEAS V)to get into nursing program. I took this test once, and even though I did great on all other parts of the test such as Math, Science, English grammar, I failed on Reading Comprehension. This portion consists of two parts(informational source comprehension + paragraph and passage comprehension PPC). English is not my native language,I am a slower reader,and I have a test anxiety, especially, when it is time based. I failed on this portion not because I did not know the study guide material but because I simply ran out of time. Could you please give me any tips on how to save time, where should I concentrate, and do better on PPC – Paragraph and Passage Comprehension part. I still believe that there is a way for me to finish the test in time and succeed. Please reply.Thank you,
