I have seen a lot of english and american movies and TV-shows but never noticed the pharasal verb turn in had been used as to go to sleep. Instead of that it means to confess in a crime or tell the police or authority about a wrongdoer. Am I right, Alex
I’m definitely not Alex, but yes, that is another meaning of “turn in”!
The difference is that “turn in” as in “tell the police about someone” is transitive—it always has an object. For example, “Whoever turns the thief in will get a reward”, or “You don’t have to wait for the police to arrest you. You can turn yourself in”.
Excellent video, man. I appreciate it. Could you make another one about opposites phrasal verbs, please?
Good Job Sr, I gotcha
nice explanation. please, give some imp phrasal verbs which are used in english movies.
