At work and in many other areas of life, we often have to respond to feedback that people give us. Sometimes we are responding to compliments (positive), and sometimes to criticism (negative). In this English class, I’ll give you many ways to respond to feedback politely and appropriately in different contexts. You’ll learn to use expressions such as “Thanks so much for your support”, “That’s good to know”, “I’ll certainly pass that on”, and many more. What do you think of this class? Let me know in the comments and I’ll try to respond politely.

I have a question that the phrase: ” John suddenly appeared from behind the door and said hello to us”, the word ” suddenly” is a adjective or a adv, I think that it is a adj. Hope you can give my answer. Thank you!
khanhhuyen2012
sorry, I mistyped, I think it is a adv
khanhhuyen2012
Yes suddenly is an adverb. Its noun form is sudden.

Sorry I noticed to make a mistake. The right thing is that its adjective form is sudden. Sudden is an adjective not noun, and suddenly is an adverb.
