Nice lesson!, good to practice and get some ideas for speaking. =D
I’m glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for studying with EngVid!
☺ 100% . ” I need something a little more sporty to go camping”. Alex ,In that sentence, why didn’t the preposition(for) come before the noun (camping)?
Same, I got 100% and I think the sentence should be: “I need something a little more sporty for the camping!” It suits the quiz!!! XD
hi, Jasmine.
in this case, camping is a verb, not V-ing. therefor, we have to use to instead of for.
“Camping” can be V_ing and it can be Noun too dude!
So in this case, the word “camping” is a Noun!
You can either say “I need something a little more sporty for camping” or the sentence you quoted. You can GO camping, or you need something FOR camping.
Hm… It’s quite clearer now. Thank you Alex.
Thanks to others as well!
You’re a great teacher, thanks.
Thank you Alex. What a interesting lesson!
You’re welcome! Did not forget to use “an” before a vowel sound. (What an interesting lesson.)
I wanna to wear something outfit to me not baggy or loose or tight
You can say “I wanna wear something that fits me. Not too baggy or loose or tight.”

Thank you, Alex, it was very good and you have simplified everything in a very good way but excuse me, I just have one take on you, that during the video you mentioned the “subtitle” more than once, while actually didn’t really appear
hello! you need to activate the subtitle by clicking on the CC option on the bottom corner.
Thanks a lot, I got it. It is very helpful and important to me.
Thanks for your help in pointing this out!

In this question:
I don’t think it’s appropriate for a funeral. It looks too _______________.
Shouldn’t the answer be ‘flashy’ instead of ‘baggy’?
I love Russia
That would have worked as well!
You’re a great teacher, thanks.

Hi James, Can you explain about “slang words”? Sometimes I get confused when someone says “gotta go, gotta be kidding me, gotcha, etc” Thank you
Hello! I’m not James. :) Ronnie made a video on this topic a few years ago. Check it out here: https://www.engvid.com/gonna-haveta-wanna/ I hope it helps! Maybe I’ll do a similar video in the future.
It doesn’t suit you sounds a little bit rude! I would choose “In my opinion it doesn’t suit you, but you can continue to dress in it if you like”
That’s definitely a more polite way to say it. I think it depends on how close you are with the person you’re giving your opinion to.
Nice! Thanks!
perfect sentences, really very polite, people should express their thoughts in this way
Thank you . It very claer
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching and for studying with EngVid! :)
Match clothes isn’t much easy for me. The last shoes that I bought, give me a feeling of not is matching with anything, neither pants or shirts, anything :(
Interesting lesson Alex, thank you!
Because they are brown and brown don’t match jeans and any colors of shirt .. aff I’m sorry but they are comfy! ;) Thank you!
I don’t think I’m very good at matching my clothes either, which is why I try to choose very neutral colours for most of my wardrobe. Nothing too flashy!
Great ❤? 100
Nice work, Bushra! Keep it up.

Ths Alex first of all about your outfit it suits u , it,s a nice outfit and the blue t shirt brings out your eyes by the way i got 10 out of 10
Thank you. I’ll consider wearing it again in the future!
Hello. Thank you for this lesson!
Alex, tell me please, are there any differences between “You should be wearing BETTER fitting clothes” “You should be wearing MORE fitting clothes?” Many thanks for your help!
When I read them quickly side-by-side, I don’t feel any difference between the two sentences. The only possible difference I can see is that depending on the context, “You should be wearing more fitting clothes” could mean that you should wear MORE clothes that fit you. But the grammar of using “fitting” sounds weird in that context.
I hope this helps a bit. Both sentences are fine and have similar meanings.
I got it. Thank you so much!
No problem! Have a nice day.
Thanks! Have a great evening!
Your lesson is great!

Hi Jeff, “lose” has a “z” sound, and “loose” has an “s” sound. I hope this helps!

hi. I can’t fully understand the difference of some Comparatives. you said “more sporty or sportier” and “more loose” and looser” so does it mean you can use short verbs with both options ? greetings from Chile
In both cases, the correct way is +ier or +er. In the moment, I just couldn’t recall 100%, so I mentioned both. This happens in my daily conversations as well sometimes. :)
Thanks, Alex u r very good teacher.
