can be difficult to pronounce, especially since some languages do not have these exact sounds in their alphabet. In this lesson I will teach you how to easily start pronouncing these letters correctly. You’ll also learn the difference between voiced and unvoiced letters. Improve your pronunciation of English words with me, Ronnie!

I agree with you Windows95 she has a unique teaching style.
Dear Ronnie this was a great lesson on pronunciation.
It is important to make the distinction between voiced and voiceless sounds from the very outset in English courses. This would help a lot students to overcome pronunciation problems.
However, no one can deny that there is a natural tendency to pronounce English sounds using our mother tongue’s phonetic system. That is why it is diffucult -I believe- to sound like a native English speaker.
Quoting a pronunciation teacher “Pronunciation is like underwear, it is the last piece of clothe that you take off”.
I would add to this quoting “… but in the end you may take it off”.
Have a great day Ronnie!!!
inspirational quote!! :) thanks for sharing.

i really enjouyed this lesson .. so thank you so much
Superb web page, lovely, great teachers.
Nevertheless, when I try to teach the difference between voiced and unvoiced sounds I avoid plossive consonants, since you can’t pronounce them similarly without adding a vowel sound. (Saying that “b” you are actually pronouncing “be”, and the vowel turns all sounds into voiced ones). I prefer fricative sounds, i.e. letter “s”. Spanish students find easy to practice voiced and unvoiced “s”, … at least at the beginnig of a word: zoo /zu:/ and Sue /su:/.
Sorry for my presumption and thanks for your help with my clases, my students love you all.
Kalos

I’m not sure, but did you say “Korean speakers” at the last minute?
If i did hear corretly, i can say it is ture that the sounds like ‘f’ and ‘p’ are always hard to Korean like me. (Cause there are no sound like ‘f’ in Korea) And also that’s why i listen to this lecture.
Anyway i like your lectrue! It’s really helpful. Thanks, Ronnie♡!
