Idioms likewise phrasal verbs are challenge when learning English. Fortunately, some idioms are almost the same in different languages. For example, the idiom “a wolf in sheep’s clothing” is actually the statement from the Bible and it went in to many languages, I think. About the meaning of the other idioms is not difficult to understand, but there are plenty of idioms in English that exceptionally difficult to understand without using of a dictionary.

Dear Rebecca, it´s always a pleasure for me to listen to your lessons. None of them is Greek to me. Many years ago I learnt this idiom at school.
Thanks for the eight new ones.
