First we’ll learn what these prepositions mean when talking about behaviour, then I’ll teach you some common collocations that use these prepositions, and finally, we will test your understanding with some example sentences. Thank you James?
Got 86. James, why does the word rough is considered to be a more negative word?
When you say that someone is tough on you, that person is doing the things difficult to you, but at the same time, that’s good for you, because make you better. On the other hand, when someone is rough on you, it’s not better to you, it’s only harder. I guess that’s the answer to your question. Anyway, whatch the video again, and you won’t be in doubt about it, I’ll do it.
I think , a more negative Word should be the word tough due to its meaning.

I am from Brazil, and my mother tongue is Portuguese too, as I am sure you know. Anyway, I also like practising and interacting with foreigners so as to improve my English skills. Skype is a wonderful tool to make this dream true in an easy and cheap way! If you’ve got an account on Skype, let me know it and I will add you in a group about English Chat if you want.

thank you james you the best
I am always hard on my self. Some people are helpful to me and always try to support and other people are kind to me where they feel how I am struggling with English . I met some people who were cruel and rude to me.my teacher was rough on me but my father was tough on me. meanwhile my mother was easy on me. I stopped to be selfish about my self and right now I am crazy about helping others .the people who are mean about me are out of my life and the only people in my life who are kind about me.
I GOT 100% AND HAPPY ABOUT it. I need to practice more on the same topic for academic purpose, and for that need a bigger quiz bank. Please help.
This class is a little bit confusing to me but I’m doing good I think
you were helpful to us
thanks and best regards from Libya
Very good lesson,thanks a million.
Thanks a lot teacher
5 correct out of 7
Thank you!
I think the lesson is confusing about using the prepositions with adjectives but it is still anyway useful for the initial understanding.
that lesson was aid to me to the correct my english
thank Mr.E
thanks
Thank you James, that was helpful
that was great.
Thank u james <3
Thank you James. You really have the gift to teach.
Thanks
its hard, I’ve been struggled in those two. the “to and on”
Very confusing. He explains the meaning of the words, same we can check in dictionary, rather than the logic of prepositions. For example: what is a REAL difference between TO and On: hard ON someone, rude TO someone – same meaning of ‘direction’.
There are too much of ‘jokes’ and other stuff in the lesson.
Yehey! I got 100…Thank you Teacher :)
That was so helpful! Prepsitions are my weakness!
Thank you teacher James!
Thanks James, great class.
Everyone want that everyone would be easy on them. Is it right? ?

Hi! Thanks for the marvelous lesson! I have a suggestion for you. I think that you’re an amazing professor. Could you explain how to differentiate present perfect and present perfect continuous? I’m steadily making mistakes with these two tenses.
10 out of 10. but I still not understand about when to use prepositions “about”. Can you explain more details?
Thank you!
