Don’t you worry! It’s all ok :) Happy new week!

“She’s too young to drink” is correct
But why not: “She’s young enough to drink”
I got 9 correct out of 10.Maybe I don’t pay TOO MUCH attention.
“I don’t pay enough attention” is probably the sentence you were looking for.
Hey Alex, Could you show a lesson about “noun clauses”? Clauses as direct object, object of a preposition, subject complement, etc Pleaseee!!!!
Because, she is too drowsy as you can see from her profile photo! lol :D
Can we say, “I don’t pay attention enough.” ?
Thanks
He’s too strong to lift the car. why this sentence is’nt correct???
I believe that is for the context of the sentence :s
I had chosen the same option like you.
Hi grazisil13, Would u like to practice your english via skype??? Greetings!!!

hello ALEX sir, Thank you so much…i got 9 out of 10
would you please tell me what the phrase ” he stared at Martha” means? i found it on a book and i know star is like begin but since i saw it i am so confused
You’re thinking of “start”. “Stare at” means to look hard at something.
thankyou so much
Thanks a lot Alex, you are great teacher.
I Got just 6/10
Very good, Alex! You’re an amazing teacher and I’ve been learning a lot from you. Keep going on with your good work.
Hi, Binha…I’ve also been learning a lot since I started watching EngVid lessons! I just love this site and there aren’t words enough to say how much I’m grateful…
Hi, Janilza! How are you going? I think just like you. I use to say that I learn more studying by own than in a regular school, and this web lessons are certainly a powerful tool when it comes to enhance our knowledge. And about the teachers, I think they’re all awesome, but Alex and Emma are the best ones. Take care yourself, dear.
“…by my own…and…these web lessons…” Just fixing my mistakes.
You can either say “on my own,” or “by myself,” but NOT “by my own” if your meaning is that you did something independently.
Thanks, Alex!
Thanks! Take care of yourself too…
And I got 100% without watching the video, but just like I said before, I’ve been watching and Downloading your stuffs since 2012…and learning a lot.
Thanks!!
this was really nice. enough stuff to learn (if that’s correct)
Lesson is too good. Thanks
BUT i have another doubt.
Can anybody tell me logic behind this statement:
“If the first tense is past, then would is used instead of will.”
Like..
I knew he would not get that job
friends, please help me if anybody knows.
You’re talking about the future in the past. If you had the intention of doing something in the past, use “would.”
“She always knew she would have a lot of kids.”
“I was afraid I would fail!”
“He thought he wouldn’t be late.”
Thank You…!
Thank you for lessons
thanks alex
Good job
I’v seen several videos on this site and I’v learnt too much from every video. Thank you to all Teachers are there .
You probably meant to type “so much,” which just means “a lot.” :) “Too much” means that it’s excessive, like “I ate too much, so I have a stomachache.”
Thank you…
my result is 9 out of 10 , i think it is good
enuogh to know my level of understanding.
thank you Alex and keep going .
I got 9 from 10. To me this is very useful
every teacher here bring us enough topics
to exhibit.
Is good enough to us!
Teacher alex your class is good enough to me, I could get the whole words that you to me.
I liked the what, 7 eat 9.
I made them all correct thanks for Alex’s great work.
wowow… challenging enough but i got 10/10 :D
thanks Alex….it’s just because of your great teaching.
It’s your hard work too.
Thank you. I have a question about past tense. Did you go to the park? yes I did go. Is it correct grammatically, I haven`t met it in any english grammar book, but People use it in Canada.
Hello friend,
From what i gather, you can answer “yes i did*” or “yes i went”.
*to avoid repetition of previous ordinary verb(go is in your question),we use helping verb “do”.
As far as i’m concerned, your answer is not grammatically correct.
We use the auxiliary “did” and “do” for emphasis.
“Do you like pizza?”
“Yeah, I do!” or “Yeah, I do like it!”
OR
“I DIDN’T like the plot of the film, but I DID like the music.”
Hi~ Alex I have some question about Vague pronoun
why the following isn’t correct?
1.Although the motorcycle hit the tree, it was not damaged.
2.Jerry found a gun in the trousers(褲子) which he wore.
3.John put a bullet in his gun and shot it.
I don’t think they should show violence on TV.
4.Vacation is coming soon, which is nice.
If I told you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me?
5.When it is my birthday, I hope to receive a rhinoceros, and I will walk it often.
6.The candy dish was empty, but we were tired of eating it anyway.
7.Mark called Mary’s house all day, but she never answered the phone.
1. What was not damaged? The motorcycle or the tree?
2. Was he wearing the trousers or the gun?
3. I’m not sure how these two sentences relate.
4. Not sure what’s wrong here.
5. Just a weird sentence.
6. Were you tired of eating the bowl or the candy?
7. Who didn’t answer? Mary or Mary’s house?
Hi Alex,
Could you please leave the correct sentences for the above, if you don’t mind.
Thanks in anticipation
Divya
1. The car was not damaged although it hit the tree.
2. Jerry wore the trousers in which he found a gun.
3. Agree with Alex.
7. Mary never answered the phone when Mark called her
7. Mary never answered the phone when Mark
called her house
6. We were tired of eating the candy dish
but anyway it was empty.
4. Agree with Alex.
5. Agree with Alex.
I have too much difficult about the use of “it” in the auxiliary sentences. As this:
Although the motorcycle hit the tree, it was not damaged.
How the correct way to write this idea using that same words? Or the most words that phrase was using?
“The car was not damaged although it hit the tree”
In the forth sentence what is connection of “which”.
I think it’s better “that”, isn’t it?
I still confuse about these sentence..
Your first mistakes, I think is: “some questions” and “aren’t correct”, because they are plural. ;-)
Thank you Alex!!
Thank you, now is more clear.
are you candian
Thank you so much Alex, the best for you.
