Obi-wan has taught you well! Good day, Adam! Thank you for the nicely lesson.

This is probably not correct one:
“nicely lesson” = adverb + noun

Adjective should be used with noun:
“nice lesson” = adjective + noun

    Adverb is used with verb:
“nicely done” = adverb + verb

    General rule:
    – adjective describes noun
    – adverb describes verb

      That is correct, Rokaly ;)

Someone is nagging you like: “You should clean the desk, turn off the radio,…”

You can say: “Hasta la vista, baby.” and leave. It was used in movie “Terminator 2”. Actually it is in Spanish, like “Goodbye” or “Bye-Bye” or “See you later”.

This expression can be pretty rude.

Thanks Adam. But the thumb didn’t appear on my screen as usual so I couldn’t click Like.

Hi I’m new

Hadjer@9-h.AB

    Welcome, Hadjer :)

    Adam

“Houston, we have a problem” and “I ll be back” We also use these quotes in Russia.

After this lesson, there was a desire to watch the mentioned films, especially with Marlon Brando.

Thanks, Adam🍇

What’s the difference between “I’m going to be” and “I was going to be”?
Thank you

Eiji Chizel

    Hi Eiji,

I’m going to be is a definite future plan.

I was going to be is talking about a plan or situation in the past that didn’t happen.

I was going to be late for work, so I took a taxi. (if I didn’t take the taxi, I would have been late).

    I hope this helps.

    Adam

I am a Vietnamese and the sentence “I love the smell of napalm in the moring” sounds like failure with me

Dear Adam
could you recommend me English grammer book?

reza Delfi

Hi Adam…
I often use this one : “Strength and Honor” from Gladiator… when I need courage !

Eric Lavardin

Allow me to suggest “We’re gonna need a bigger boat,” and “You can’t HANDLE the truth!”
